The Art of Live Music and Tap Dancing

Join us for a unique series of workshops where tap dancing transforms into a musical instrument, blending seamlessly with live music. Led by renowned tap dancer Amy Eileen and accompanied by talented singer, songwriter, and drummer Ricardo Derose, these workshops will explore the musicality and improvisation in tap dancing.

Throughout the series, students will dive into the basics of musicality—understanding music, time signatures, notes, and more. They will discover how creating rhythms with their tap shoes mirrors the work of any musician. As the workshops progress, participants will incorporate this newfound knowledge into improvisational exercises, culminating in the exciting concept of a tap jam.

This is a fantastic chance for tap dancers of all levels to enhance their musicality, creativity, and improvisation skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Join us and experience the art of live music and tap dancing like never before!
