Improv with Abby J Fields

In this class, we will focus on the 5 basic rules of improvisation acting by building trust, agreement, active listening, character building, and supporting your fellow scene partners through theater games and scene exploration. This class is the perfect opportunity to access creativity and build acting skills.

📅 Dates: Saturdays, September 6th – September 27th

⏱️ Times: 

  • 3:30pm-4:30pm: Ages 8-12

  • 4:30pm-5:30pm: Ages 13-18

📍 Location: Creative Pursuits Studio, 1525 Oregon Pike, Suite 101, Lancaster, PA (Directions)

🩰 What to bring: Water bottle, pencil

🎟️ Price: Students may register for all four classes for $80 or individual classes for $25 each.

Meet The Teacher

Abby J Fields is a tried and true Central Pennsylvanian originally from Lebanon but now living in the Lancaster area. She received an education in vocal performance and musical theater from Florida State University and Point Park University. Abby has performed with the historic Fulton Theatre (Sound of MusicMan of La ManchaCharlie & the Chocolate Factory, Beautiful), Media Theatre (Sound of Music), Sight & Sound (Behold the LambRuthMiracle of Christmas), Revival Productions (Footloose). She most recently was a company cast member with the Strasburg Railroad where she originated many roles in their Murder Mystery, Vaudeville, Stunt, and Christmas shows. You may also remember Abby’s performance as Alice Beineke in Creative Pursuits’ production of Addams Family.
