Rocking Around the Christmas Tree
A precision style dance class in the style of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. Taught by Cody Smith, a veteran of the show for nearly 20 years. Come learn what it takes to be a part of this iconic show!
What to bring: Come dressed comfortably and ready to dance. Dance shoes are preferred but socks are okay too! No street shoes or bare feet.
Meet The Teacher
Cody Smith is a performer, director and choreographer hailing from Lancaster,PA. He was the director of the Hempfield High School Theatre and Dance programs for many years. He has also directed and choreographed numerous shows for EPAC, the Fulton Theatre TYA series and main stage, Gretna Theater, Cedar Crest Show Choir, the Cobalt Dance Company, and Rev9 Dance Company. As a performer, he was in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York for 19 years. He has toured with the Christmas Spectacular and with Beauty and the Beast. He has also performed regionally in Chicago and in 10 productions at the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster including: Brigadoon, Hello Dolly!, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, A Chorus Line, Joseph, and Newsies!. Cody is a member of Actors’ Equity and the American Guild of Variety Artists.
