Musical Journeys

In this class each student will delve beyond music and lyrics and strengthen their acting skill while singing. Through engaging exercises and scene work, students will learn how to infuse their performances with emotion, storytelling, and authenticity. Join us as we unlock the magic of musical theater and become a captivating storyteller in song! 

What to bring: Please come prepared with sheet music of your favorite musical theater song to workshop during the class.

Meet The Teacher

Sarah Zahn is a versatile singer, actor, and teaching artist. In her private studio she teaches musical theater and classical singing styles and puts a strong focus on teaching how the voice works as well as music reading and interpretation. She has a passion for working with middle and high school students and loves to see their gifts and confidence grow on and off stage. 

Sarah holds BA’s in vocal performance and theater from the University of Iowa and has continued her education at NYU with Professor Dianna Heldman. She is an active member of Lancaster’s music and theater community and loves to collaborate with fellow artists and creatives. She is a founding member of Lancaster’s own Reverie Actors Company and regularly curates and performs concerts celebrating soprano music. Sarah is a proud member of both the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
